What it is / not
Clear boundaries, explicit non-goals.
CustosVeritas defines constraints first: no central authority, no default profiling, no hidden data capture.
What it is
- Identity as a personal ownership space.
- Context-specific, provable statements.
- Revocation and expiry instead of permanent exposure.
- Optional order/visual description that enables recognition without pressure.
What it is not
- No central identity provider; no mandatory official wallet or app.
- No platform accounts as the root of identity; no server-side registry as source of truth.
- No social profiling, ranking, or engagement mechanics.
- No hidden telemetry by default; only explicit opt-in.
- No "share everything" profile export.
Guardrails we will not cross
These boundaries are part of the architecture, not an afterthought.
- The order layer must not become a stage for self-presentation.
- Metadata leakage must not become the new profile surface.
- Revocation must scale without creating new central choke points.
- Recovery must be possible without central custody.
